Kanchenjunga and Makalu Region
This is one of the best treks in Nepal which has recently opened and this trek offers you a majestic view of the world’s third highest mountain. Kanchenjunga hymnal is a jewel in this high mountain region. A system of paths links the valleys surrounding the range. These beautiful valleys around the snow capped peaks did not open until 1990. Even though the trail does not end in a national park, the travelers encounter a wealth of vegetation and wild life. There are fewer lodges and huts compared to the Everest and Annapurna.
Yampudin the last village located on the bank of the Khabeli River where you may see the last settlement of humans. In the monsoon season people move further north toward Ramje and Chereme with their cattle.
You have an option by going through two different passes: Labsang La (5070 m) or Seleley pass (4700 m) towards Gunsa (a typical Sherpa village) on the other side of the valley or you may continue going back the same way you came up.
