Hira Foundation

Hira Foundation, a non profit organization, dedicated to improving the lives of people living in indigenous mountain areas. We believe it is important to help the communities we love and travel through.

Our goal is to help the communities and educate their children plus build a Nursery for re-forestation so it will help to protect the land-slides in the monsoon season, and build hydro power for cooking and lighting in the night and they will save a lot of trees cutting down for fire woods every year plus the children does not suffer reading in the dark or smoky light in the night.

We are now our way to re-construction of The-Te Khongma Monastery which lies at Gumila villages and it desperately need to re-construction as soon as possible. The monastery does not have enough budget to do the job done therefore we request anyone who can participate us to achieve this goal please contact us at hiratreks@yahoo.com.

Note: Currently there are about 30 young monks and 5 teachers are residing but the poor condition of the Monastery makes them worry everyday.
